We have had a fantastic first week in Year 2. In our PSHE lesson we explored ‘The Dot’ by Peter Reynolds, a story about a girl who overcomes her frustration in an art lesson by painting hundreds of different types of dots! We discussed having a ‘growth mindset’ and having a go at new challenges, to demonstrate our school value of ‘courage’. The children used watercolour paints and pastels to create their own dots. We think they look beautiful!
